This Privacy Policy describes how FlowIsle handles information when you use the iPhone app.

1. Summary

FlowIsle is a habit, focus, breathing, and insights app with an optional Tide companion and optional Shore Pass membership.

- You do not need a FlowIsle account to use core features.

- Habit, focus, breathing, preference, and most insights data are stored on your device by default.

- Core habit tracking and timers can work offline; some features use the network (ads, configuration, analytics events, feedback, and subscription status).

- We do not sell your personal information.

- The App may show third-party advertising unless you unlock Shore Pass or earn certain Tide ad privileges.

- Optional auto-renewable subscriptions are processed by Apple; we do not receive your full payment card number.

2. Information Stored on Your Device

The App stores the following on your iPhone (including an App Group container when widgets are enabled):

- Habits you create or select, completion history, streaks, Tide progress, and related settings

- Focus and breath/mind sessions (intention, duration, ambience or method choices, reflections, distraction notes you enter)

- Soundscape and breath preferences

- App preferences: language, appearance theme, notification reminder times, onboarding state

- Shore Pass entitlement cache and related local flags used to unlock paid features after Apple confirms purchase or restore

- A small Home Screen widget summary of today's habit progress (title, counts, pending habit names/emojis)

- Temporary Live Activity / lock screen and Dynamic Island session state while a focus or breath session is active (intention, remaining time, pause state), which is dismissed when the session ends

- Optional Now Playing metadata while ambience is actively playing (including when the device is locked), so iOS can show media controls

This information stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it, or unless a feature below sends limited data over the network.

3. Information We Do Not Require for an Account

We do not require:

- Name, email address, or password for a FlowIsle cloud account

- Access to Contacts, Photos, Camera, Microphone recording, Health, or continuous location (GPS)

Payment and subscription billing for Shore Pass are handled by Apple through your Apple ID. Apple may share limited purchase or entitlement signals with the App (for example product identifiers and active subscription status) so we can unlock benefits. Refunds and billing disputes are handled under Apple's policies.

If you email us at [email protected], we receive whatever you include in that message and use it only to respond to support inquiries.

4. Permissions

Depending on features you enable and your region, iOS may ask for:

Notifications

- Purpose: optional morning, afternoon, and/or per-habit check-in reminders you configure in the App.

- These are local notifications scheduled on your device. You can turn them off in the App or in iOS Settings.

Live Activities

- Purpose: show an active focus or breath session on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island (where supported).

- Controlled by iOS Settings → FlowIsle → Live Activities.

Tracking (App Tracking Transparency)

- Purpose: where required, ask whether the App may use data to track you across other companies' apps and websites for advertising measurement.

- You can change this later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

- If you deny tracking, advertising and measurement may still occur in non-personalized or limited forms allowed by Apple and our partners.

Files / Share Sheet

- Purpose: only when you Export a backup or Import a backup file you choose.

5. Network Use

The following features may use the internet:

- Fetching remote ad unit / frequency configuration and product strategy settings from our mid-platform hosts

- Loading and displaying ads (for example Google AdMob and related mediation)

- Gathering advertising / privacy consent where required (for example Google User Messaging Platform)

- Sending limited analytics / install / ad-value events to our mid-platform for product operations

- Optional Meta (Facebook) SDK signals related to advertiser tracking and ad revenue measurement when enabled

- Firebase services used for app stability / measurement configuration as integrated in the App

- Submitting in-app feedback (message content, device identifier, and app version) to our mid-platform

- Checking Shore Pass subscription status with Apple

- Opening this Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, or other links in your browser

Habit lists, session history, and most preferences are not uploaded to a FlowIsle cloud account as part of normal use.

6. Advertising, Identifiers, and Measurement

When ads are shown, advertising partners may process device and ad-related information such as:

- Device type, OS version, language / region, and coarse technical signals

- Advertising identifiers when authorized (for example IDFA) and other device identifiers (for example IDFV)

- Ad unit, format, impression, click, and estimated revenue / eCPM signals

- Consent, ATT, and similar status tokens needed to respect your choices

Partners may include Google (AdMob / UMP) and, where integrated, Meta. Their processing is also governed by their own policies.

Tide level privileges that reduce or suppress ads are product features of the free experience and may change. Shore Pass may remove ads according to the benefits described in the App at the time of purchase.

7. Analytics and Operations Events

We may send limited operational events to our mid-platform (for example install / cold-start and ad lifecycle or value events). These events may include app version, device identifiers, consent / ATT status tokens, and ad metadata. They are used to operate and improve FlowIsle, measure ads, and prevent abuse—not to build a public social profile.

8. In-App Feedback

If you use Me → Feedback, the App may transmit:

- The message text you enter

- A device identifier (typically IDFV)

- App version name

Do not include sensitive personal data you do not want us to receive. We use feedback to respond to issues and improve the product.

9. Shore Pass Subscriptions

Shore Pass is an optional auto-renewable subscription purchased through Apple In-App Purchase.

- Apple processes payment; we do not store your full card number.

- The App stores local entitlement state so paid features can unlock after purchase or restore.

- Manage or cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

10. Audio and Soundscapes

Focus ambience and mind soundscapes are generated or played on-device using Apple audio frameworks. When you enable ambience during a focus or breath session, playback may continue while the app is in the background or the screen is locked. The App does not record microphone audio for these features. Background audio is not used as a silent keep-alive when no audible ambience is playing.

11. Widgets and Live Activities

If you add a FlowIsle Home Screen widget, the main App writes a small today's-progress summary into an on-device App Group shared with the widget extension. Widget data remains on your device and is not uploaded to a FlowIsle cloud account.

If Live Activities are enabled, session progress may appear on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island during an active focus or breath session. That display is temporary and ends when the session completes, is canceled, or when you reopen the App with no active session.

12. Backups You Create

When you use Export backup, the App creates a file (for example JSON) that you can share via AirDrop, Files, Mail, or other destinations you choose. That file leaves your device only because you shared it. Import replaces local App data with the backup you select. Keep exported files secure; anyone with the file can read its contents.

13. Children

FlowIsle is not directed to children under 13. Do not use the App if you are under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, contact [email protected] and we will take appropriate steps.

14. Retention and Deletion

- On-device data remains until you delete content, replace data via Import, or uninstall the App (subject to iOS behavior).

- Uninstalling FlowIsle removes the App's local data, including App Group widget data associated with the App.

- Exported backups you saved outside the App remain under your control until you delete them.

- Feedback and support messages are retained as needed to handle your request and improve the product.

- Operational / ad analytics logs on our mid-platform are retained as needed for operations, security, and reporting, then deleted or aggregated according to our internal schedules.

- Apple retains subscription and purchase records under Apple's policies.

15. Data Security

We rely on iOS sandboxing for on-device storage and industry-standard transport security for network requests. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. Protect your device with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID, and treat exported backups as sensitive.

16. International Users

Core habit and session records are processed on your device. When network features run, data may be processed on servers or by partners that are not in your country (including advertising and mid-platform infrastructure). You are responsible for using the App in compliance with local law.

17. Third-Party Services

Depending on build and region, FlowIsle may integrate or call:

- Apple (App Store / StoreKit, notifications, system frameworks)

- Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform

- Meta (Facebook) SDK for advertiser-related measurement when enabled

- Firebase for app configuration / stability / measurement as integrated

- Our mid-platform hosts for ads configuration, strategy, analytics events, and feedback

Opening external links or sending email is handled by Apple or your chosen browser / mail provider under their own terms.

18. Your Choices

- Disable notifications in the App or iOS Settings

- Disable Live Activities in iOS Settings → FlowIsle

- Change Tracking permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking

- Where available, use privacy / consent options presented by UMP or iOS

- Remove Home Screen widgets if you do not want the App Group summary

- Cancel Shore Pass in Apple subscription settings

- Export then delete data, or uninstall the App to remove local App data

19. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and publish the updated Policy at the Published URL. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy. Material changes that affect App Store privacy labels will also be reflected in App Store Connect.
